Content Submission Terms

Last updated October 4, 2026

CorbinRedhounds.com is built with the people who made Corbin's history. These terms explain what happens when you share something with the archive, and what stays yours.

What these terms cover

These terms apply to anything you send or post, including photos, memories, stories, documents, newspaper clippings, programs, roster information, corrections, forum posts and uploads through the Media desk.

You confirm you have the right to share it

When you submit something, you confirm that:

  • you created it or own it, or you have permission from the person who does, and
  • sharing it does not break any law or anyone else's rights.

If you are not sure who owns an item, say so on the form. We may hold it until the owner is known or permission is clear.

You keep ownership

Anything you originally own stays yours. Sharing it with the archive does not transfer ownership to CorbinRedhounds.com, and you can share it anywhere else you like.

The permission you give us

So the archive can preserve and present what you share, you give CorbinRedhounds.com a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide permission to:

  • display it on the site
  • store and archive it as part of the historical record
  • resize, crop, format, caption or transcribe it
  • include it in historical features, exhibits, galleries and emails
  • use portions of it to promote the archive, for example in social media posts or newsletters

We credit you the way you choose whenever it is practical.

This permission is non-exclusive, which means you can still give anyone else permission to use your material too.

Editing and credit

  • Memories and stories may be edited for length, clarity and accuracy before they are published. Your original words are kept on file.
  • The credit, class year and role shown with a published memory are set when it is published. Roles such as Player, Coach or In the Stands come only from your own I Was There marks.
  • If you choose to be hidden, your class year and role are not shown with what you publish.

Being accurate and respectful

  • Share what you know to be true, and tell us when you are unsure.
  • Do not include private information about other people, such as addresses or phone numbers.
  • Take care with anything about current students.
  • Follow the community standards in our Terms of Use.

Review and publishing

Everything is reviewed before it goes into the archive, except uploads from media members an administrator has marked as trusted. We decide what to publish and may decline, edit, combine or remove submissions. Submitting does not guarantee publication. Contributions are voluntary and unpaid. Points and recognition on the site come when something is published, not when it is sent.

Sometimes people share history with us in person, by phone or by letter. When an administrator adds something on your behalf, they first confirm that you gave permission.

Changing your mind

You can ask us to change the credit on something you shared, or to remove it, at any time. We will take it down from the site within a reasonable time. Copies that already went out, such as past emails, or that remain in routine backups for a time, may not be recoverable. To ask, see Rights and Corrections.

Contact

Questions about sharing can go to info@corbinredhounds.com or through our contact page.

Questions or a correction? We would rather hear about it than miss it. Contact us or see Rights and Corrections.
